myQuizzle Privacy Policy

This Policy describes how MyQuizzle (“we,” “us”) handles information when you use our daily trivia experience on our site or via embed.

- Pseudonymous device ID: Generated and stored in your browser; shared with our API to keep streaks and stats.
- Quiz interactions: Answers you submit, time taken, accuracy, streaks, and related performance data.
- Usage and logs: Standard web logs captured by our hosting functions (e.g., IP address, browser type, referrer, error details) for security and reliability.
- Sharing actions: If you use social sharing, we create share text/URLs; the destination platform handles any data you provide there.
- We do not intentionally collect names, emails, or payment information.
3) How we use information
- Run the daily quiz, show results, streaks, and stats.
- Improve and troubleshoot the Service and prevent abuse.
- Communicate about the Service (e.g., policy updates) if you contact us first.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4) Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
We process data as needed to provide the Service, based on our legitimate interests in operating and improving it, and to comply with legal obligations.
5) Cookies and local storage
We use local storage/cookies only for Service operation (e.g., quizzle.deviceId, quiz session state). You can clear these via your browser settings, but streaks and saved state may reset.
6) Sharing and disclosures
- Service providers: Hosting and infrastructure partners that help us deliver the Service and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Social sharing: If you share results, the destination platform’s terms and privacy policy apply.
- Legal: We may disclose data to comply with law, enforce Terms, or protect rights, safety, and security.
- We do not sell your personal information.
7) Retention
We retain quiz submissions and device-level stats as long as needed to operate the Service. Hosting logs are kept for a limited period consistent with provider defaults. You can request deletion tied to your device ID (see “Your rights”).
8) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9) International transfers
Data may be processed in countries where our providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
10) Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, and to object or withdraw consent where applicable. To exercise rights or request deletion, contact us with your device ID from localStorage.getItem("quizzle.deviceId") so we can locate your records.
11) Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent). If you believe a child has provided data, contact us to remove it.
12) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
